In Depth Consulting contracts equipment plus operator to conduct sidescan sonar searches / surveys and subsequent data analysis. Services may be provided worldwide, as the equipment can be transported, set up and operated by one technician. We are able to provide your organization with whatever degree of service you may require, from simply obtaining data and providing it to you in PC readable form, to complete analysis and subsequent underwater inspection of object or craft if necessary.

We provide all survey equipment plus a sonar technician. You provide an appropriate survey craft from which to conduct search / survey operations. To discuss a specific project and costs, please contact us.

After receiving a number of calls for various projects, I would like to add a word on what sidescan sonar can and cannot do.  Sidescan sonar CAN locate objects resting on or above or partially buried in the bottom of lakes, rivers and the ocean.  It can 'see' through some degree of very light sediment, can image biologics in the water column and can be pointed upward to image the bottoms of ships, barges, etc.  Sidescan can NOT image through rock, detect completely buried objects which have left no impression on the bottom, or guarantee finding an object within a given search area.
